______An Appeal to Protect Wetlands
Dear teachers and schoolmates,
February 2nd is World Wetlands Day. However, wetlands are now in danger: pollution is serious, and their area is decreasing due to human activities like overdevelopment.
Wetlands are vital. Ecologically, they are "the kidneys of the Earth," purifying water and providing homes for many animals. Economically, they support fishing and tourism. Culturally, they are part of our natural heritage.
To protect wetlands, we should: 1) Reduce pollution by stopping littering and saving water. 2) Plant more trees around wetlands to prevent soil erosion. 3) Spread awareness by sharing knowledge with family and friends.
Let’s take action now to save our wetlands!
