Grandpa: John, you seem deep in thought. What's on your mind?
John: I was just thinking about good friends. They really make our lives better! Dad, Grandpa, what do you look for in a good friend?
Grandpa: That's an interesting question, John. For me, friendship is all about spending time together. My friends and I always make time for each other.
John: What do you do?
Grandpa: Sometimes, we play chess. At other times, we take long walks in the park. After an afternoon with my friends, I always feel happy and relaxed.
John: That sounds nice. And you, Dad? What does a good friend mean to you?
Dad: I think a good friend helps you when you really need help. Many years ago, I lost a good job. It was a difficult time for me, and I was worried about my future. My friend Rick helped me in different ways. He cheered me up and made me believe in myself. Even more importantly, he helped me find a new job.
John: He sounds like a great friend!
Dad: He is. But what about you, son? What do you look for in a good friend?
John: Well ... I have several hobbies. I like playing games, doing sport and listening to music. I love to make friends with people who have the same interests as me. I think it's great when friends share the same interests.
