A Three animals are competing for the title of “Super Animal”. Read their introductions and complete the notes.
Let me introduce myself. I'm a camel, and I live in the desert. I'm called the “ship of the desert”. For most animals, the desert is a difficult place to live. But for me, it's easy! I can go for a long time without water. Why? Because I store fat in the hump on my back. My body turns this fat into energy whenever I need it. That's not all! My large feet help me walk on sand, and my long eyelashes protect my eyes from blowing sand.
I'm an Arctic tern. I'm a medium - sized seabird. When you look at me, you might think I'm a lot like other birds, but there's something very special about me. Every year, I make the longest journey of any animal on the planet! I start in the Arctic, travel all the way down to Antarctica and then fly back again. No other animal can travel so far. Who could be better than me?
I'm a starfish, but I'm not a fish. There's no other animal like me. I have the most beautiful shape: a star! I come in lovely colours, like orange and purple. But here's what makes me super: I can regrow lost body parts. If I lose one of my arms, I just grow it back! And guess what! I don't even have a brain! But I can still move, hunt and survive in the ocean.
