尽责性——成功与人际的钥匙
Have you ever heard someone being called conscientious? Conscientiousness is a great skill. People with this skill often do well in school, work, and get along with others.
What does “conscientious” mean?
To be conscientious means you want to do your work or duty well. When you start a task, you try your best. It also means you don’t stop when things get hard and that you do jobs without being told. You can find a conscientious person easily—they follow rules, and finish homework early and well. They keep working on tasks even when they’re difficult, and they are responsible and careful. They might help others without being asked.
Don’t give up.
Staying with tasks and keeping your energy up when things are
tough is key to being conscientious. It can be hard, but there are easy ways. “Sticking with things doesn’t mean working all day. It means moving forward little by little,” says Laura Gwilt, a child expert. When something is tricky, don’t want to quit. “When you keep going instead of giving up, you learn that trying is as important as success,” Gwilt says. “Mistakes are just part of learning. Finishing hard things makes you proud and confident.”
Make plans and follow them.
To be more conscientious, follow your plans. If you plan to join a new club or do homework after school, just do it. This shows others you are reliable—and that’s a useful skill as you grow.
