Exploring (探索) your hometown can be a really nice adventure. Often, we're so busy with our daily work that we barely notice the beauty of the area we live in. As the weather gets warmer, it's the perfect chance to find the cool places in your town or city, maybe with someone you trust to show you around. Here are some ideas to get started with your local exploring.
Imagine being a tourist in your own town. We often don't pay attention to the special places that make our area different, the very places we'd suggest to a visiting friend. Think about it: Where would you take someone who's never been to your town before? You might look at an old building, walk in a beautiful park, or treat yourself at that new ice cream place you've wanted to try.

With an adult's help, look up walking tours in your city to see it in a new way. Some tours focus on special themes like food, history, or parks. You can also search for free walking tours you can do on your own in your area.

Looking at your town through a camera can show you new things. Choose a theme for your photos, like buildings, rivers and lakes, or animals and plants in your area. These things make your city special. After your walk, you'll have lots of photos to look back on and remember your local adventures.
