The idea of Chinese Teachers' Day started in 1931.Two famous
educators(教育家)， Tai S huang qi u and Cheng Qi bao,first came up
with this idea.They got 3 with some other educators in Beijing and Shanghai and advised
that June 6 should be Teachers' Day.But it was not supported(支持)by the government(政
府)at that time.
In 1939,the government decided(决定)to 4 Teachers' Day on August 27−−
Confucius' birthday.But 5 people celebrated it through the whole country.
In 1951,the Chinese government decided to celebrate Teachers' Day on May 1,the same
day as Labour Day. 6 many people didn't agree.
Finally,in the year of 1984,Wang Zi kun,former president of Beijing Normal University,
said that teachers should have 7 own(自己的)day.The 8 quickly got strong support
and September 10 Teachers' Day was celebrated the following year.
Then teachers in China finally found a day to celebrate their hard work.From then on,
9 September 10,teachers all over the country have got 10 attention(关注).They get
respect for what they do for this country.
