Starting a new school term always makes students in the UK feel great because it's time for them to take up new hobbies. It is common (普遍的) in Britain for students to take up new hobbies after the Christmas holidays.
Most schools have different kinds of hobby classes. Students can take them in their free time or after school. Some classes are free and others are not. This term, I take a free painting class at school on Wednesday evening. And I also learn how to play the piano, but my parents have to pay (付钱) for the lessons.
The most popular (广受欢迎的) hobby classes at my school are piano lessons and drama lessons. Students with many hobbies always feel busier but happier than those without (没有) any. And the students with hobbies will leave school with more skills.
When I take hobby lessons, I can also make new friends. We can meet friends from different grades and classes. We can talk about our school life and dreams with each other. We feel very happy when we get together.
