The story took place in a middle school. There was an important group - dance competition (比赛). The school decided to choose some students to take part in it.
Anna was known for her beautiful dances in her class. On the day of the selection (选拔), Anna put on her best dance dress and tried her hardest. She didn't spend much time practising with others but focused on (专注于) showing off her own skills. She thought that none of her classmates could match her.
A few days later, the final name list of the dance team came out. But to Anna's surprise, her name was not on it. She asked her teacher Ms Lynn for a reason. Ms Lynn said kindly but seriously (严肃地), “Anna, you are really good at dancing. But you focus too much on your own dance. We need all the dancers to work as a team.”
After hearing this,
Anna'
s face turned red.
She realized that she didn't know the true meaning of group - dance. From that day on, Anna changed and became a better team player.
