Do you like school uniforms (校服)?
Andy: We wear school uniforms from Monday to Friday. Our uniforms are nice. Boys wear black jackets and blue trousers. Girls wear light green jackets and grey trousers. Boys wear ties and girls wear bow knots (蝴蝶结). They make us look smart. The uniforms have the names of our classes on the chest (胸部). I think it’s a good idea (主意) to wear uniforms. We don’t have to spend much time thinking about what to wear. And you can tell which class a student is in from the uniform.
Mary: In our school, we wear school uniforms for the assembly (晨会) on Monday. Both girls’ and boys’ uniforms include ties, shirts and coats. Girls wear skirts. They are in two colours, blue and white. I don’t like them. I don’t like to look like other students. I don’t know what they are made of. But they are too hard and aren’t comfortable at all. And they are often not the right sizes. I look funny in them.
