Do you know about Harry, Hermione and Ron in Harry Potter? J.K. Rowling's stories are successful and part of the reasons is the wonderful friendships between these characters. There are more examples of great friendships in literature (文学). Let's have a look.
In 1844, French writer Alexandre Dumas wrote The Three Musketeers (《三个火枪手》). The story is about a young man called D'Artagnan. He goes to Paris and meets three great musketeers. They become friends and have many adventures together. They often say "One for all and all for one." and this shows their strong friendship.
The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien is a fantastic storybook, telling a great adventure of Frodo. When Frodo goes on a long and dangerous journey with a powerful ring, his friend Sam always goes with him and helps him.
Another example is My Brilliant Friend by Elena Ferrante. It tells the friendship between two girls, Elena and Lila, which lasts for over 60 years. They have a lot of arguments but they are still the most important person to each other.
When we read these books, we not only enjoy the exciting plots but also understand how to value our own friends.
