四、阅读理解
Alma Deutscher, who was born in England,is surprising the world.
Alma began playing the piano when she was only two and took up the violin one year later. At six,she composed her first piano sonata(奏鸣曲). At seven, she finished her short opera The Sweeper of Dreams. Just a year later,Alma began creating another opera named Cinderella. Here is part of her interview.
Reporter: I'm glad that you can answer some of my questions. First, ▲ ?
Alma: When I was about four,I just had some melodies(旋律)in my mind, and I played them at the piano. My parents thought I was just remembering music that I'd already heard. But,in fact, those melodies were composed by me.
Reporter: Is it difficult for you to compose?
Alma: Not very difficult. Whenever I want to tell stories in my mind, melodies pop into my head. I don't really know why,but it's really a natural thing for me.
Reporter: OK. Tell me about your opera Cinderella.
Alma: My Cinderella is different. Before Cinderella runs away at midnight, she sings the beginning of a song. The prince(王子)remembers the melody. To find Cinderella,he asks all the girls in his country to sing the song.
Reporter: You have been known for your gift for music all over the world, though you are very young. Do you enjoy your life now?
Alma: Yes. But in my daily life,I'm still working hard. When other children work hard for exams,I work hard for something exciting — composing music. I must be able to create better music.
