六、阅读理解
Going to a new school can be hard. Here is something to help you to fit in with (与……相适应) your teachers and classmates.
First, take a walk around your school to see what it is like. Ask for a school map. A good school handbook can also help you. But to make it easy, ask the people near you to find the right place. Be nice to everyone, because they might just be your next teacher or friend.
Second, get to know your teachers in class. Teachers always pay attention to(关注) new students. Talk to them and find out more about them. You need to talk to different people around you.
Third, join a few clubs or sports teams. In this way,you can make more new friends.
Last,be yourself and be polite. Don't worry too much about what people think of you. Be true and nice to everyone,no matter (无论) how unfriendly they may be at first. Don't tell lies (谎言) to others.
Work hard to fit in while still being yourself. The first few weeks are always hard, but you'll soon get used to (适应) it.
