二、阅读理解
Clothes play an important role in our daily lives.
The clothes protect us from the strong wind in cold winter and keep us from the high heat (热) in hot summer. They can even make men and women look great. They also tell (区分) people from different fields. For example,we can tell a soldier (战士) from a policeman only by the uniforms (制服) they are wearing.
Clothes can show many things about a person. They can stand for a person's social status (社会地位),his likes and dislikes, his hopes, dreams and so on. A quiet person, for example, might like to wear dark clothes. An easy-going (随和的) person might prefer to(更喜欢)wear bright-coloured ones.
Old people prefer to wear traditional clothes, but young people might like to choose fashionable ones. When a little boy puts on a soldier's uniform,he may want to show that he wishes to become a soldier when he grows up.
Clothes will go on to develop(发展)to meet our personal(个人的)tastes. They will become more comfortable, colourful and fashionable. People will find more clothes they like to show their personalities(个性)in the market.
