Scientists learned that our thoughts and behaviours are influenced by the colours we see.
Colours are called "warm" (red and orange) and "cool" (blue and green) for a reason:When we're in a space where the walls are painted in warm colours,we feel that the temperature there is higher than we do in similar spaces painted in cool colours. This makes warm colours good choices for a vestibule (前厅) in a cool climate (气候). Cool colours are good choices in entrance(入口)to buildings in warm climates, and in rooms that are warm.
Putting a light colour on a wall makes that wall seem a little further away than it actually(实际上)is,while darker colours on walls make them seem even closer than their true position. So you can use colours to change the shapes of rooms.
The research has also shown the special "powers" of special colours. First, the colour green has something to do with creative thinking — so green is a good choice for the ▲ in your home. And people seeing things in front of red backgrounds generally find them more attractive (吸引人的),so red is great for a living room wall. What's more, yellow may be widely used in dining rooms because warm colours can help encourage us to eat much. People are more likely to tell you that blue is their favourite colour. That makes it a very safe and believable choice for a bedroom.
All in all, colours do have influences in our life and we may find more in the future.
