Kimani is a star student in Class Two of a primary school in Kenya. But he is a little different from his 1 . He is 85 years old. But every morning he gets to the 2 and sits down in the classroom.

Education in Kenya is now free for everyone, 10 there aren’t enough schools. In this primary school there are now 890 students — that’s 100 students in each class! “But we are so happy that so many children get to learn,” says Obinchu, the headteacher.
